Paul Biggs is a Product Marketing/Product Management leader focused on high-growth enterprise SaaS. He loves to build, launch, and grow B2B software platforms. Paul was forged in the fires of management consulting in Boston, New York, and Zurich, with a tech career spanning Portland and Berlin.
Now at Contentful, he's helping disrupt the traditional CMS industry with an API-driven content platform (often referred to in the industry as a “headless CMS”). The platform helps global brands bring new digital experiences to market faster, unify content across hundreds of websites and apps, and create task-optimized tools for each team along the customer journey. Paul is doing this from the vantage point of leading the European Product Marketing team from Contentful's Berlin hub.
More broadly, Paul has helped grow startups through IPO and acquisition:
- Jive - enterprise collaboration - from 50 employees to IPO, backed by Sequoia and Kleiner Perkins
- RipFog - sales & marketing benchmarking - from 5 employees to acquisition by Cloudability (which was then acquired by Apptio), backed by First Round Capital
Paul has owned product lines at multiple high-growth software companies:
- Cloudability - cloud optimization and analytics, with billions of $ in cloud spend under management
- Airship - mobile marketing and analytics, powering apps on billions of iOS/Android devices
And, he has managed and motivated many types of teams:
- Direct reports - product marketers, product managers, marketing managers, and SDRs (up to 9 reports)
- Product lines - designers, engineers, TPMs, and program managers (up to 13 team members)
- Cross-functional tiger teams - across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Eng, and Finance/Ops
